What are we voting for?

This fall, Kaslo will choose the people who make decisions about our town and local schools for the next four years.

Mayor

The mayor leads council meetings, represents the Village and helps council carry out its work.

Councillors

Council sets local policies and bylaws, approves budgets and oversees municipal services.

School trustee

Kaslo and Area D voters elect a trustee to help govern public education in School District 8.

Ballots returned by mail or delivery service must reach City Hall by 4:00 p.m.

Vote from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. This is also the final opportunity to return a mail ballot in person.

Voting in Kaslo

Ready to vote?

You do not need to own property to vote if you live in Kaslo. Here is what to check before you go.

Can I vote?

Resident voters must be Canadian citizens, be at least 18, have lived in B.C. for the required period and live in the Village of Kaslo.

Am I registered?

Kaslo uses the Provincial Voters List. If you are not on the list, you can register at the voting place before you vote.

Bring

What do I need?

Registering when you vote? Bring two pieces of ID showing your name and address. At least one must include your signature.

Need different voting arrangements?
