Participation, not persuasion.
Kaslo Votes is a community information and awareness campaign for the 2026 municipal election.
We want every eligible voter to feel informed, welcomed and ready to participate. That means making voting instructions easier to find, listing candidates consistently and promoting election events hosted by community organizations.
We do not support or oppose candidates. We do not tell people how to vote or which issues should matter to them.
After the election, the same approach can help Kaslo follow council meetings, decisions and public records.
Our editorial rules
We can
- Explain how voting works.
- List candidates equally.
- Promote independently hosted events.
- Summarize public records and link the source.
We must not
- Endorse or oppose candidates.
- Present opinion as fact.
- Give one candidate more promotional space.
- Publish unattributed claims.
